If there is a better Belgium Waffle maker out there then I'd like to see it. I'll throw the challenge down! Making waffles is effortless with this iron. Highly recommend if you desire to impress.

Like most Breville kitchen products, this waffle maker is a tank! I have made waffles at least once per week for over 25 years. This is the best waffle maker I have ever used. I used the Belgium waffle setting on the browning level of 6. The waffles were absolutely perfect; crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. I love this product! For those of you concerned about the price or size, Breville also has a 2-slice waffle maker.

This waffel maker is amazing!! I was a little unsure how well it would work and clean up but the non stick was so easy to clean. You just wipe clean with a damp sponge. I love the differnt levels of brownness you can choose from. I used it today for the first time and I chose the defult brownness setting of 6. It came out great but next time i'll put the setting at a 4. My family likes waffles a little lighter. Over all I love this machine and in my opion well worth the money.

Breville products are great, I had a KitchenAid waffle baker for about a year until the non-stick coating started coming off ( lesson learned that do not put cooking spray on it). that was my fault. But this is a good waffle maker and does the job.

I had the All-Clad waffle iron for years and was quite happy with it. It finally broke and I decided to try out the Breville. To my surprise, the results are quite different and the Breville wins hands down for the quality of the waffles. They are just simply better cooked and taste better with the exact same batter recipe. Maybe Cooks Illustrated could do an analysis as to why there should be any difference! Another benefit is that it makes far less mess. Any excess gets cooked in the all-four-sides overflow trough and doesn't run down the side of the unit. The only negative I have seen so far is that the unit is somewhat bigger (for the same size waffles) so it doesn't fit in the same space as my previous All-Clad. I have not tried all the various settings so I can't yet speak to that.

This is everything I thought it would be. If you make a good batter, you can't make a bad waffle. No mess with the design of the lip around the outside of the waffle area. Very good product!!!!

This is by far the best waffle maker I've ever owned ! I used the recommended setting the first time and my Belgian waffles came out perfect. Each of the four waffles came out lightly crisp with even coloring. Each waffle was cooked through with a consistent texture, so there aren't any hot or cold spots. Since using it the first time, I've tried using some of the other settings for different waffle types with the same perfect results. This isn't your typical discount store waffle maker. It's expensive, big, heavy and very well made, so you should be able to pass it down a generation or two. The controls are easy to understand and use. The instructions are clear and well written. Follow the instructions and use the recommended setting for your first time and you won't be disappointed.

It should have been obvious to me, but it wasn't-- that reservoir around the edges of the wafflemaker that cook any of the batter that might spill out-- it gets just as hot as the actual surface of the wafflemaker. So even when the waffle maker is closed-- that exposed edge is still very dangerous. I burned my wrist by accident the first time I used it. Obviously all wafflemakers get hot, and you need to be careful. But you have to be that much more careful if you have young children with wandering fingers. It's a big unit, so keeping it out of reach can be tricky. I definitely still would have bought this in spite of this. I have no complaints. I just wish I had known that going in.

Fantastic. Produces consistent waffles every time. The only thing I dislike is that the plates are not removable for washing so it is a bit tedious to wipe between the grooves. I am still giving this 5 stars though, because all the other things I like outweigh that since cleanup is minimal anyway. Liked this so much that I got a second one for our other home.

Bought this several months ago. Very good construction. Best for making waffles. Very easy to experiment with different mixes. The recipe book included is a great starting point for people wanting to learn how to make waffles from scratch.
